I LOVE TYPOGRAPHY

Love Notes

Pssst… did you get our love note? Love of type is in our name, and we want to share it with you! On our store’s third birthday last month, we quietly launched two dozen love notes dedicated to some of our favorite typefaces — the typographic equivalent of a bouquet of two dozen red roses, I guess! You can find these notes tucked under the font name in the category pages, the foundry pages, and in search results.

Introducing Love Notes

We launched these love notes for a few reasons:

1: We wanted to share with you what we love about these typefaces, or simply our fascination with their design!

2: Our approach to our font offering is all based on the idea of curation, so that you can quickly find the perfect typeface for your project. What better way to continue down that route than to highlight and celebrate those typefaces that we love the most?

3: John and I both love books, and the idea to add the love notes came from a visit to Waterstones near Piccadilly Circus. The handwritten notes highlighting the best books were so interesting to browse through, so we thought to do the same for fonts.

4: And this is very important, because it was fun for us!

We hope you’ll enjoy them too! Below is a selection of the first love notes on the site, with many more to come!
