Thanks for the recommendation! I really like this type, especially because of its fresh and consistent appeal. I used it for the 404-page of my website and think it makes a good job.

Will we see a redesigned FontFont site in 2009? FS has a gorgeous site that’s a pleasure to use; the FF site on the other hand is beginning to look like a relic of Web 0.5.

Redesigning the FS site was [and still is] a huge task with a high priority. We know about the old school FontFont website and actually we are working on it as well. I hope to link to a new site this year!

Thank you Stephen and Ivo for the clarifications. Yes, they were confusing at first glance.

And I really want to know Xavier’s type design process (because I share the same “hate” for v, w, x, y, z – those diagonals are hard work, especially for a beginner like I). He’s also been interviewed (as well as Martin Majoor) by students from the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden. You can find the interviews as pdf files just under Reminga Bold Italic.

About Xavier: I guess what I’m trying to say is that I wish he were better known.

Xavier is an accomplished typeface designer. A guy with a clear analyse of the past, history, calligraphy roots in order to create contemporary and unique typefaces. Bravo Monsieur.

Thanks for spreading the word of FF Reminga, John. I don’t think Xavier isn’t well known. He publishes his typefaces through several foundries [FontFont, Emigre, Font Bureau] with huge success. But I would like to read an interview with him.@ Josef Go-Oco: Capsa – that I like as well – isn’t part of the FontFont Library but of the FontShop. Both the FontShop and the FontFont Library belongs to FSI FontShop International. [I know it’s confusing ;]
