Just do whatever works best for your work & personal schedule, and we’ll keep reading.

Even at your least consistent posting schedule so far, you’ve got other type-related blogs (I won’t name names!) beat by a mile.

Not that it’s a competition. You’re just much more reliable and stable.

We need a nice typographic way to display humour–emoticons just don’t do it for me.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. In addition to your comments here, I received a number of emails requesting a shorter Sunday Type. On the other hand, there are those who like a big dose of type at the start of the week. So, this is what I’ll do: Sunday Type may, in future, be a little shorter—I stress, a little shorter; in addition, I’ll post some shorter, newsworthy pieces like this one.

Continue to send in your links and suggestions, and thanks very much for your comments, and for reading.

Great link - that site actually got me pretty stoked for the new serif version… i haven’t used or looked at the new serif version under a microscope yet, but it’s definitely a refreshing update to that font, and in my opinion it rounds out Meta family in a way that was much needed. Thanks for the post :)

Oh, and I’m new to this blog, but the length of the post felt appropriate; I’m long-winded myself though, so I sympathize.

I love typeface posters. Emigre used to send out those great posters with every new release. The Meta Serif poster is really nice.I got Erik Spiekermann to sign mine at Typecon. It’s framed and hanging on the wall in my dining room.

And I agree with Alec on the post lengths. The long Sunday posts really set ILT apart from other blogs, in a good way. But yeah, I’ve got nothing against the odd short one during the week.

Shorter posts??? That’s crazy-talk. Johno is a rare commodity in this day and age of short attention spans and sound bites — someone who has something meaningful and interesting to say, and isn’t editing himself for the sake of unnecessary brevity.

That’s not to say that I wouldn’t welcome short posts like this one interspersed between the longer ones. But this post is short because it’s supposed to be, not because it’s been circumcised.
