He was one of the finest teachers I had while there, and it's amazing how he instilled in his students a passion and enthusiasm for typography. When ever I see a type designers sketching paper I can kind of step back and tell myself "Why am I being so technical from the beginning? It's just ideas at this point." This is something I have a problem with, not only when sketching letters, but also when tackling most other design projects.Neil If you ever stop by Tokyo for a few days on one of your trips, drop me an e-mail!
