The next font is of course top secret. At this very moment it’s in a sealed vault protected by armed guards and an aggressive hamster.

All will be revealed. Also got some of those longer “educational” pieces coming up soon — just need to finish editing them.

Haha, Kazuo, you’re funny (you give John a run for his money! Ooo, and I’m a poet). Thanks for sharing those emails, John. They made me smile. At first when I went to Mark’s site, I thought the answer was Snicker (it needed an “s” though). I really hope you start making money from iLT. I guess that says something about how much you really do love type if you’re willing to buy type-related items for readers at a loss to yourself. I’m sure the shop will be a great addition for us! Maybe you can sell affiliate “type” stuff there, too, like links to fonts on various websites.

Yes, they are good. There were many other great ones. I wish I could have given the font to everyone who entered - if I had a spare $11,890 ($29 x 410). That would have made Mark Simonson’s day.

And that reminds me! I must email Kazuo to tell him he’s won. He’s probably reading this and thinking, “well, it’s the first I’ve heard about it.”:)

haha… those are vvvery funny responses. I think that along all the geek and blonde jokes there ought to be Typography jokes. I’m not sure though that many people would understand them, unless perhaps they read them online and click on those Type links :-)
